Katie Yergensen

Katie Yergensen is the Chief Communications Officer at DMEA, where she leads communications, marketing, brand strategy, and community engagement for the cooperative and its family of services. She provides strategic communications counsel to executive leadership and oversees communications across traditional, digital, and social platforms.

Prior to joining DMEA, Katie served as Communications Director for Montrose County, where she advised executive leadership and elected officials on strategic, public, and crisis communications, organizational reputation, and complex community issues. During her tenure, she oversaw the county's digital communications and digital accessibility initiatives, developed internal and external communications strategies, and directed large-scale public information and health initiatives. Earlier in her career, she served as the Marketing & Public Relations Manager for USA Shooting. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Speech & Theater from St. Lawrence University.
